What do I need to provide for you to build my website?
We will require the following from you:
- - Your preferred .com or .com.au
- - Any email addresses you would like created e.g. info@mydomain.com
- - Your logo (if you have one) and any graphics or images you would like to use
- - Details of any corporate colours your business uses or preferences you may have
- - The main text content you would like on each of your pages
Is it expensive to make updates to my site?
In most cases no. We recommend making regular updates to your site to help with SEO (search engine optimisation) and to keep your site interesting it doesn't need to cost a lot. It all depends on how often you make changes and how big those changes are.
How long does it take to get a change made on my site?
We try hard to make requested updates as soon as possible. Simple changes will normally be made within an hour or two of receiving your request. Larger changes may take longer but will generally be done within one business day or less.
Does it matter what state or country I am in?
Not at all. Our services are available world wide, in fact we currently have clients Australia wide as well as in in the UK and Germany. After your initial telephone consultation most communications can be done via email.
What is a domain name?
A domain name is a specific web site address that you choose and register, for example www.yourname.com. A small yearly registration fee is charged for each .com or .com.au registered.
What is web hosting?
Web hosting is a monthly or yearly fee that you pay to have your site accessible on the Internet. We can provide web hosting for our clients.
Can I choose you to design my site and use my own web hosting?
Yes, you can use any web host you like. Once your website has been completed you will have to provide us with your web hosting ftp login username and password so that we can upload your website for you.
Do you offer any type of discounts?
Yes, we offer discounts to non-profit organizations and offer free web site design services (within reason) to non profit organizations who's main focus is preventing climate change.
Why can't I find my web site in the search engines?
Once your site is submitted to the top search engines it may take several weeks, or even months for them to actually look at and list your web site in their directory. How quickly your site is appears depends on each individual Search Engines.
